After Jesus inquires about His identity, Simon responds passionately, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God!" Jesus replies, "Blessed are you…for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by My Father in heaven." Jesus then renames him Peter.

After Lazarus has died, Jesus reassures Martha, "Your brother will rise again." Though Martha assumes He means the final resurrection, Jesus has a different meaning, "I AM the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me, even if he dies, will live!"
